... but not so long...

Second minute in practice time, I got injured again. This was the first time I touch a ball after 2 or 3 months. I remembered I was injured a finger during Sitex 2006 (around early December 2006) and haven't played any game since then. This morning, another finger hurts. Bad luck doesn't come alone! I cancel the tennis session today. Hope things be better in a next couple of days.

Unfinished job

(Complaining again) I should have these developed one year ago, but I haven't done so. This year, new photos pile up and they also need to be developed. I don't know until when I get this done. I have returned to Vietnam a couple of time, but I didn't save a particular moment for this. Shame on me.

1 person = the world

1 person knows about it, sooner or later the world will know :-) (I'm still in Vietnam, just finish my duty)

It's just not my day

I should have applied for leave 9 days ago, since I came back here. But I didn't do it until yesterday. Just one day before I leave, I was still in doubt whether I could do it, or just leave in silence. My supervisor was not in his office the whole day, only after 5:45pm did he return, and sign the application that I left under his door. Unfortunately, I was at home when he called me to take the application back to submit to the department (which I thought he would do for me hehe). Fortunately I asked my friend to collect it for me.

Today, I went to school early to print sth to submit to the dept. The printer in my lab is out of ink, I intended to print in Comp Cent, but it has exam today, I had to run to CLib to print. Done, it's almost 8:30 am. Then I rushed back to the dept to submit. The lady there said I don't need to submit the document that I just printed. Fine! At least I had something to read at home (I consoled myself).

So the story is like that, that's not fun at all. I'm in the airport now and prepare to fly at 12pm.

RAD Video Tools

Today I tried to find a way to convert a .mov file to a .avi file. I found this wonderful tool (and free, absolutely) which is called "RAD Video Tools". It can convert one movie type to another fast and easy. Try it here or here.

To use it, it's easy. Firstly, run the software, choose file you want to convert, then click "convert a file" button.

In the next windows, choose output filename and file type. Then click "convert"

Another windows appears to ask you to choose compression type. Choose the compression type you want and then click "OK". That's it.

A lot more features can be found in this software, so explore them. You can save a sum of money for alternative commercial softwares.

Earthquake: I felt it

posted under by lhnkhang
Yesterday, after having lunch, I felt dizzy. I thought that was the effect of the tea or coffee I'd taken in the morning. I felt my body trembling for ten seconds or so, then I forgot about it. Later in the night, my dad called me to ask whether I felt the earthquake, I said no. My wife even asked me, I said no. This morning, suddenly I thought about it again, and yes, I felt it, just I didn't recognize it at first hand.

"The tremors were felt in many parts of Singapore and in some 236 buildings.

Most of the buildings were in Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Toa Payoh, Woodlands, Serangoon, Sengkang and CBD areas like Robinson Road, Shenton Way and Suntec Singapore."

ROGER AND JIMMY

(From http://www.rogerfederer.com/en/)
"Isn't this an amazing memory? The picture is from Basel, at my hometown tournament, where I actually used to be a ball boy. Between being a ball boy and playing, I got an award for best junior in Basel under 14. Jimmy Connors and Mansour Bahrami were playing an exhibition match and gave me kind of an award, which was a watch back then. I walked on court, had a picture taken with both of them, then walked off again. I was so nervous. Whoever would have thought I would break the record."
