My neighbor (Interesting Xmas story) part 1
This entry is about Christmas, and this event was brought by my nice neighbor next door. Without his arrangement, this trip will never be made. That's why the title of this entry is about him.
This trip saved a poor and wet Christmas. It's been raining since last week, few tennis games have been canceled, and now I still don't know when I can play again. However, my finger will have more time to heal.
We should have made this trip earlier, but due to our busy schedule, we postponed this trip until this Christmas. Oh I forget to mention that we went to Lower Pierce Reservoir.
The weather supported us as it didn't rain in the morning, even the sun shone on our way back. As usual, we didn't start on time but some 20 minutes late. Two taxis took us to the reservoir's car park after about 15 minutes. The streets were empty and the drivers throttled up to 90 km/h.
The first stop was an Indian restaurant call "Casuarina Curry" that according to my neighbor, some food here can not be found anywhere else, and people can drive a long way here just for breakfast. The restaurant was filled with not-Indian-customers. That's fun.
We didn't like Indian food much. Otherwise, the restaurant was not clean enough. The tidiness is the same with some food courts around Clementi. The toilets were awful. After we had our breakfast, an old man came to clean the table while we were still sitting there. He had the worst behavior for a waiter I've ever seen in Singapore. Without a word, he picked one empty disc and dropped it onto a curry disc to make the curry "flew" into us. Without looking at us, he used his index to announce us to leave the table in our surprise.
A short 2-minute walk led us to an entrance to the reservoir: the Lower Pierce trail. See how fresh and healthy we were before the trip. The Lower Pierce trail consists of the Hevea trail, Cyathea trail, Bamboo trail and Oncospermum trail.
In part 2 of the story, I will lead you to a nice Chinese restaurant (!) in Bishan MRT.

Due to wet weather, one of the trail was closed, but it did not matter much, as we still marched on.
